Out of Office: Work Trip to Nashville

KK and I love to travel as you can see in some of our posts. Whether the travel involves a car or a plane, we love it all! I had the great opportunity and privilege to travel to Nashville for work. Having never been and loving country music I was super excited.

I finally get to go to The Country Music Capital of the world!!!! *insert little girl scream

This post is going to be short and sweet, like the trip itself. I flew out on a Sunday and came back on a Wednesday. Since I was there for work that left little time for exploring. I did make the most of what little time I had, thanks to a great tour guide/co-worker. Needless to say I missed a lot, which just gives me (or WORKKPARTY) a reason to go back.

My oh so awesome co-worker who grew up in Tennessee and the greater Nashville area showed me around. My first night there we hit 'The District' up. The District, a three by three block radius is home to world famous bars and restaurants. Places like Legends Corner and Layla's Bluegrass Inn are within a stone throws of each other. On our walk to the district we passed the Ryman Auditorium. The architecture alone is beautiful then throw in the amazing history, simply breathtaking.

I can't travel somewhere new without mentioning food. With so much options on our walk we choose Rippy's Bar & Grill for some grub. AMAZING BBQ, and as always way too much food for one person. Each bar and restaurant has live music! My co-worker told me that each set is 4 hours with no breaks! Hats off to those performers, and you never know who you might just run into there. Their is SO MUCH packed into that three block radius it's ridiculous.

My second night in Tennessee we went a little north of downtown to The Grand Ole Opry! The Grand Ole Opry and the performers were everything imagined and more. Before the show we hit up the mall and Madame Tussauds country music wax museum. If you've never been to one you have to. These figures are quite mind blowing realistic- and a little scary.

Tell us where you're travels have taken you this year in the comment section below!
